Senior Aditi Das

by Kellie Whitworth

Aditi Das: If you haven’t heard her name yet, you’ve probably heard her voice at least once a day every second period right after the bell.

“Please stand for the pledge of allegiance.” That’s right, Aditi is the one who says the pledge every morning, initiates and ends the moment of silence, and spouts off the announcements of the day, like where and when football tickets for the championship game are being sold.

Have you noticed one other thing she does? She sets a theme for every day of every week. “Have an enthusiastic day, PR!” “Have a fabulous day, PR!” “Have a grand day, PR!” Aditi has been working her way through the alphabet, one letter every week. Sure, she does other themes such as homecoming and world language week, but, as she tells Wolf Prints, the alphabet is her main topic.

Curious where she gets her words? Many of them she thinks up herself but sometimes friends and magazines are great sources for finding a colorful word. After the alphabet exhausts its supply of letters, Aditi says that the routine will begin again starting with ‘A’ but with fancier words.

Aditi decided to bring the alphabet to the game to bring more creativity to the repetitive high school day and so she could keep herself from repeating words. What words are next in line to be words of the day? Listen up every day at second period to find out!
